You awaken to a dark figure standing over you, its hands stretched out towards your chest. You try to scream, but you fail to make a sound. You struggle to escape, but are bound to your bed by some unseen force. The figure places its hands on your face, twisting it to the side. Through tears, your eyes focus on the soft glow of an alarm clock. 6:66 it reads. Not the witching hour, no. Only the devil themself would wake you at such a time. The pressure from the shadow's hands pushes you harder into the mattress. Blankets that once gave you comfort now smother you, stealing your breath. The glow of the clock begins to fade as you press deeper into you bed. Your sheets, now a tangled mess, bind you tightly, pushing watt air is left from your lungs. And with that last exhale you whisper one word, "Sleep".
