This collection features works created by Katsuhiro Otomo at the age of 26–27, spanning 1980–1981. Centered around the titular story serialized over six installments in “Manga Kisō Tengai,” it includes four short manga, one short comic, and a 12-part short series.

The sci-fi mystery “APPLE PARADISE,” set aboard a massive resource-mining spaceship preparing to return to Earth from a distant planet, is a long-lost work that had never been collected in book form—just like the previous volume “G…..” It is now finally included in its full six-episode run (approx. 120 pages, unfinished). Also featured are the acclaimed Western “Memories of Sunburg’s Hill” and the complete “That’s Amazing World” series, a collection of short stories inspired by fairy tales and literature.

The short story “I.N.R.I.,” which was altered to a right-to-left format for its first collected edition, has been restored to its original left-to-right format in this volume and is presented in two-color printing, as in its initial magazine publication. Additionally, the short “ELECTRIC BIRD LAND,” previously only published in monochrome, is included here for the first time in its original “full two-color” magazine version.
